The iPod nano is a wonderful strain of those classic media players which has definitely come into its own during the past year or so. When once it appeared like a lesser version of the bigger iPod Classic, currently the Nano is an amazing product as its self. In truth, that seems to have been the remit with Apple products in current times - produce every one unique instead of a bigger or smaller copy of the first.

Things improved at first when Apple added the accelerometer to the iPod nano, just as is featured in the iPhone and iPod Touch. This permitted for wide-screen viewing of videos and greater functionality. The nano eventually seemed to be catching up with the rest of the line, and was released in a variety of colours, it was a huge seller for the Apple business.

And now, the latest upgrade to these marvellously flexible little players is the arrival of an in-built camera and mic. You can now make video in both landscape and portrait formats and easily sync the files to your PC via iTunes, and are able to then make them available to others online at YouTube or elsewhere at other video sharing websites.

As always, the interface is straightforward and clean, making it really easy indeed to capture those special moments that life continues to fling at you. There is a genius function there too, which is a personal favorite of all the software upgrades Apple have made recently.

The new nano also has a built-in FM tuner and has the capability to hold and pause live broadcasts. The radio feature also encompasses a cool function where your iPod will let you see the info on each track as you hear it via the radio broadcast. The new nano is only one of the great ways in which Apple have been making their products more open to folks who need something truly useful and fun in their pocket.
